Acceptance of terms
By accessing the Leasing Broker Federation website (www.lbfuk.org) (“Platform”) or becoming a member of the Leasing Broker Federation (“Federation”), you agree to these terms and conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform or engage with Federation services.
Operator information
The Federation is operated by Astor Media Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 13949478), VAT Registration No.: 406573988. Registered office: 31-35 Kirby Street, London, EC1N 8TE. The Leasing Broker Federation is a brand of Astor Media Ltd, which trades and bills under the name Astor Media.
1 Membership terms
1.1 Membership eligibility
Membership of the Federation is open to organisations and individuals operating in or associated with the UK leasing broker sector. Acceptance is at the sole discretion of the Federation.
1.2 Membership period and renewal
Memberships run for 12 months from the invoice date. Renewal occurs automatically unless written notice of cancellation is provided at least one month prior to renewal.
1.3 Membership benefits
Members may access resources, events, partner offers, and networking opportunities. Benefits may vary and are subject to change without notice. The Federation does not guarantee any specific outcome from membership.
1.4 Membership cancellation and refunds
Members may cancel their membership with one month’s written notice. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations occurring mid-term.
2 Events and training
2.1 Booking and payment
Attendance at Federation events requires advance booking and full prepayment. Cancellations received in writing at least 90 days before an event will be refunded less a 15% administration fee. No refunds will be issued after this period.
2.2 Event changes
The Federation reserves the right to change event dates, venues, or content. In cases of cancellation, liability is limited to refunding any fees paid. We are not responsible for indirect costs such as travel or accommodation.
2.3 Substitutions
If you cannot attend an event, you may send a substitute attendee at no extra charge by notifying us in writing prior to the event.
3 Partner offers
3.1 Access to offers
LBF members may access partner offers at no additional cost. Non-members who utilise these offers without membership will be invoiced £150.
3.2 Partner obligations
While we aim to partner with reputable providers, the Federation is not responsible for the delivery, quality, or suitability of third-party offers. Members engage with partners at their own risk.
4 Intellectual property
All content provided through the Federation, including reports, training materials, and website content, remains the intellectual property of Astor Media Ltd or its licensors. Members and users may not reproduce, share, or use materials beyond personal or organisational use without written consent.
5 Liability
5.1 General disclaimer
Information provided through the Federation is for general guidance only. We do not guarantee accuracy or completeness and accept no liability for reliance on any materials or advice.
5.2 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Federation is not liable for any:
Loss of profits, business, or goodwill
Indirect, consequential, or special damages
Third-party claims resulting from use of Federation services
Total liability is limited to the membership fee or event booking fee paid.
6 Website use
6.1 Access and availability
The Platform is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may suspend or change the Platform without notice.
6.2 User conduct
Users must act lawfully and responsibly. Uploading harmful or infringing content is prohibited and may result in suspension or legal action.
6.3 Data and privacy
Use of the Platform is subject to our privacy policy. By using the Platform or joining as a member, you consent to data processing as outlined therein.
7 Governing law
These Terms are governed by English law. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
